PLANNING: FINALISING THE TYPE OF MUSIC VIDEO

VISUALISATION: When I first heard the song, I could see images of people running away, someone on wheels just roaming around on long empty roads on cold nights. I could also see a girl numb, crying or maybe dancing to loud music trying to silence her demons. The most surprising part was that I could see a chaotic upside-down world as well as a numb one.

STYLE:  Tanees and I both decided to go for a conceptual and narrative music video as we wanted it to tell a story but also wanted it to be open for interpretation by the audience

Music video conventions for my genre and style that I plan to use

I plan on using bright sharp colors as color can affect us psychologically and physically, often
without us being aware, and can be used as a strong device within a story. Being able to use color to create harmony, or tension within a scene, or to bring attention to a key visual theme can be used to spectacular effect.

Music video conventions for my genre and style that I don't plan to use

It is very common for R&B/soul music genre videos to have characters wear a lot of jewellery and have tattooed arms and body. However since we wanted to keep the innocence of the girls in our project and portray the beginning of their journey of escapism, we decided not to go for such complex props that take away their innocence visually.
